15 Braised Napa Cabbage with Tofu Sheets
15 BRAISED NAPA CABBAGE WITH TOFU SHEETS
- 1 cup (oyster) mushrooms, cut in half
- 1 cup of tofu sheets, cut in big squares; if you buy the dried ones, soak in warm water until soft before use
- 1/2 cup carrots, sliced
- 1 cup black fungus, soak in cold water for 3 hours until soft, then cut off the stems, and cut the tops in half
- 3 cups, or half a head, of napa cabbage, chopped
- A dash of vegetable oil
- A dash of salt
- A dash of sugar
- 1/2 tsp of soy sauce
- 1/2-1 cup of water
|Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Stir-fry the napa cabbage and carrots first.
|Add the black fungus, tofu sheets and stir-fry.
|Add the seasonings and mix well. Add the water, and cover for 2 minutes.
|Open the lid, add the mushrooms and sitr-fry some more. If you want to improve the presentation of the dish, before removing from pan, mix in a little bit of sesame oil.
