8 AMERICAN OMELET * * *
This omelette is an American style tradition with a Japanese twist, also called a Tamago Roll. The recipe is fun and easy, and the kids will love it. Feel free to get creative, mix and match ingredients, and add some cheese for some extra flavor!
INGREDIENTS
- 5 eggs
- 1 cup of raw spinach
- 1 cup of chopped tomatoes
- 1 cup of sliced mushrooms
- 1/4 cup of diced onions
- 2-3 Tbsp of oil
- Salt, to taste
DIRECTIONS
Step 1 | |
Beat the eggs, and transfer 1/5 (one beaten egg) of mix into a separate bowl. | |

Mix all vegetables into the larger beaten egg mixture. | |
Step 3 | |
Turn stove on to low heat, and coat pan evenly with oil. Next scramble the egg mixture with the vegetables, until you have a nice scramble mixture. Set aside. | |
Step 4 | |
Pour the leftover beaten egg mixture into a pan to create a thin omelette. do not flip. When the omelette is almost cooked add the scrambled egg mixture on to one side. Quickly fold from left to center then right to center, creating your Japanese style American Omelette! |
