26 Sweet and Sour Coleslaw * * *

You may choose to stir-fry this dish or not. You can also make the sweet and sour flavor very light. In America you can find and use many of the ingredients combined and prepackaged in the grocery store, which is very convenient. If you can’t find stem lettuce, substitute julienned broccoli instead.


  • 1 cup of red cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cup of stem/Chinese lettuce, shredded
  • 1/3 cup of carrot, julienned
  • 1/3 cup of yellow Bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • A dash of oil
  • A pinch of salt
  • A pinch of sugar
  • A dash of vinegar


Step 1
Heat some oil in a pan. Stir-fry the red cabbage first. Then add the carrots, stem lettuce, and yellow Bell peppers. Continue to stir-fry. Next add the salt, sugar, and vinegar. Finally, add a little bit of water, stir-fry, and serve.
