59 Braised Shepherd’s Purse and Nagaimo Yam * * *

INGREDIENTS

  • 1-2 cups of shepherd’s purse or spinach, washed and chopped
  • 1/2-1 cup of nagaimo yam, peeled and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup of mushrooms, cut in half
  • A pinch of salt
  • A pinch of sugar
  • A dash of oil
  • A pinch of cornstarch
  • A dash of water

DIRECTIONS

Step 1
Blanch the shepherd’s purse in boiling water for 30 seconds.
Step 2
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Stir-fry the shepherd’s purse, nagaimo yam, and mushrooms. Then add the salt, sugar, and a little bit of water and cook for 30 seconds. Finally, mix the cornstarch with some water and add to the dish to thicken it a little.
