323 Braised Chinese Spinach with Garlic

INGREDIENTS (2-4 servings)

  • 1-2 heads of garlic, peeled and separated into cloves
  • 4-6 cups of Chinese spinach, cut into short lengths
  • 1 cup, plus a dash of cooking oil
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1-1.5 cups of water

DIRECTIONS

Step 1
Heat 1 cup of oil in a small saucepan. Over medium-low heat, fry the cloves of garlic until they turn golden. Remove from the oil and drain off excess oil.
Step 2
Heat a little bit of oil in a pan and stir fry the Chinese spinach. Next add the salt and the garlic. Then add the water and stir everything together. After the garlic becomes soft, serve.
